10 YEARS EDITION: October 4, 5 and 6 - Veranda - Antwerp

Early October 2023, the 10th anniversary of Amuse-Gueuze was celebrated in Veranda, an established restaurant in Antwerp.

It was a wonderful party! The splendid location, the fine dishes of Chef Davy, the nice cooperation with the entire team of Veranda, the beautiful beers, successful pairings and, last but not least, our guests as a warm, enthusiastic and grateful audience, made this edition just that little bit more special.

Edition #7: September 26th 2021 - Loes & Krikke - Antwerp

On a summer Sunday, after a long break, we were finally able to welcome our loyal visitors again. After seven years, we returned to Loes & Krikke in Antwerp.

The reunion with our enthusiastic guests was more than cordial. The wonderful team at Loes & Krikke provided fantastic dishes to pair with our selection of lambic beers. Furthermore, we had asked artist Benjamin Demeyere to be inspired by our selection of liquid gold. He created a matching artwork for each gueuze on the menu. The successful result formed part of the cosy décor.

Images often say more than words. And moving images do just that little bit more to capture the atmosphere for those who could not be there. That is why we made a mood film this time. All credits to the creative team:

Edition #6: October 3, 4 & 5 2017 - L'Amitié - Antwerp

Authenticity, high quality and a warm and welcoming atmosphere are always paramount at Amuse-Gueuze. And so we were very proud and happy for Thomas and his team to welcome us in their restaurant L'Amitié.

Edition #5: April 21, 22 & 24 2016 - Souvenir - Ieper

For its fifth edition, AG decided to team up with Restaurant Souvenir, which has since moved to bustling Ghent. In this refined venue we had the honour to host our 5th anniversary edition.

Chef Vilhjalmur Sigurdarson ("Villi") earned his stripes in renowned restaurants such as Texture (London), In De Wulf, Hertog Jan and La Buffette. Alongside wife Joke Michiel and the Souvenir team, he presents innovative and delicious dishes based on local and honest products. The menu is always inspired by the season. The stunning interior is the icing on the cake. Not surprisingly, this restaurant had been on AG's wish list for some time.

Edition #4: November 26, 28 & 29 2015 - De Superette - Ghent

This time we settled in Ghent at De Superette, the famous project of Kobe Desramaults, Rose Greene and Sarah Lembe.

A former grocery store turned into one of the most original spots in town, both in terms of location and kitchen. In addition to its hotness, not only passion and creativity, but also authenticity and quality are key here. Same goes for artisan lambic beers...

A collaboration was therefore inevitable. It was without a doubt a memorable edition thanks to the De Superette team and their unbridled enthusiasm. We were saddened to hear that De Superette closed its doors at the end of 2022

Edition #3: March 12, 13 & 14 2015 - Het Land Aan De Overkant - Leuven

After Antwerp, it was now the turn of the province of Flemish Brabant. For this third edition we joined forces with the team of restaurant Het Land aan de Overkant in Leuven. Host Luc and chef Wim share a preference for food pairing with beers, which naturally fits in perfectly with the Amuse- Gueuze concept . Moreover, with their honest, pure and idiosyncratic cuisine, they ideally convey the vision of the event.

Edition #2: October 17, 18 & 19 2014 – Loes & Krikke - Antwerp

After the incredibly warm reactions to our first edition, we decided to organise a second edition in the autumn of that year.

This time we worked together with the fantastic team behind Loes & Krikke. They stand for honest, authentic cuisine and work with respect for nature. With great enthusiasm they linked their pure dishes to our selection of gueuze beers. Moreover, their restaurant with a cosy patio is one of the most snug places in town. A perfect match

Edition #1: May 2, 3 & 4 2014 - Restaurant Veranda - Antwerp

For our very first edition, we decided to look for an innovative restaurant in the province of Antwerp. The unique and talented chef Davy Schellemans ( cfr . Jong Keukengeweld 2013 ) turned out to be the ideal partner, thanks to his preference for honest products and seasonal dishes. This edition of Amuse-Gueuze took place in Davy's restaurant Veranda.
